CJB Architecture & Design provided full-service architectural design and construction documentation for Solace Hospice Care, an 11,500-square-foot facility designed to support patient-centered end-of-life care in a comfortable, residential-like environment. The project required a highly coordinated design approach, with particular emphasis on integrating complex building systems to meet healthcare standards and ensure reliable, continuous operation.
A key component of the project was the coordination of high-performance HVAC systems designed to maintain proper ventilation, air quality, and patient comfort in accordance with healthcare requirements. Electrical systems were carefully planned to include major back up power infrastructure, including emergency generators, to support critical life safety systems and ensure uninterrupted operation during outages. In addition, the design incorporated bulk oxygen storage, requiring detailed coordination of exterior tank placement, distribution systems, and safety clearances in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
The result is a cohesive, well-planned facility where architectural and engineering systems are fully integrated to support both patient care and long-term operational reliability.
